Birdwatching in Minca

Minca is one of the best birdwatching destinations in the world, with over 365 species recorded in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, many of them endemic.

Guided tours leave at dawn along humid tropical forest trails, where you can spot toucans, hummingbirds, parrots and the elusive curassow. Bringing binoculars, repellent and walking with certified local guides is recommended.
