Pico Cristóbal Colón
Cristóbal Colón Peak, with its eternal snows, is Colombia's highest point and the highest coastal mountain in the world. For the Kogui, Arhuaco, Wiwa and Kankuamo peoples it is a sacred site.
It has no tourist access: it is contemplated from Sierra Nevada viewpoints and only ascended with special permits and accompaniment from the communities. Its value is spiritual and scenic.
